A schematic walkthrough with GoDaddy Website Builder (Websites + Marketing)'s real menu names — the written manual below has every word.

Your snippet

<script>window.RP_BOT_SLUG="your-business";</script>
<script src="https://revenuepack.com/rp-widget.js" defer></script>

This sample uses your-business as the ID — your real one (with your own ID filled in) is in your welcome email and in your dashboard's Script tab. Copy it from there.

The manual — every click

  1. 1

    Open your site editor

    godaddy.com → Sign In → My Products → Websites + Marketing → Manage → Edit Website / Edit Site

Sign in at godaddy.com, then find your website under My Products and click Edit Website — if you see Manage instead, click that, then Edit Website (or Edit Site) from your site's dashboard. You'll land in the GoDaddy editor with your homepage on screen.

  2. 2

Add an HTML section to a page

Editor → Add Section (+) → search "HTML" → HTML / Embed Custom Code

Scroll to where you'd like the chat to sit — near the bottom of your Home or Contact page works well. Click the plus (+) to add a section, then search for 'HTML'. Look for HTML — Embed Custom Code; GoDaddy occasionally renames this, so anything called HTML, Embed, or Custom Code is the one.

  3. 3

    Paste your snippet

HTML section → Custom Code box

Click into the new section and paste this into the Custom Code box: your snippet (below). You can leave the section title blank — the chat doesn't need one.

  4. 4

Give the chat room to open

    HTML section → Forced Height

In the section settings, set Forced Height to about 600 so the chat has space. An honest note: GoDaddy seals custom code inside its own box, so your chat lives in this section — it won't float in the corner across your whole site. If you want the everywhere-bubble, invite us in (see below) and we'll set it up for you at no charge.

  5. 5

    Publish

    Editor → Publish (top right)

Click Publish in the top-right corner. GoDaddy saves edits automatically, but nothing goes live — and your chat won't run — until you Publish.

  6. 6

    Send yourself a test message

Open your live site in a private (incognito) window — not the editor preview, which often skips custom code. Go to the page you added, find the chat, and ask something like 'What are your hours?' A reply within a few seconds means you're live.

Did it work? · 30 seconds

Open your published site in a private (incognito) window on your phone — the editor preview doesn't count, because GoDaddy usually runs custom code only on the live site. Go to the page where you added the section, scroll to the chat, and send a test message like "What are your hours?" If your assistant answers within a few seconds, the install worked. You'll also see the test conversation appear in your RevenuePack dashboard.

If something's off

I can't find an HTML or Embed Custom Code section anywhere.

Your GoDaddy plan may not include custom code — GoDaddy doesn't document this clearly, and the section simply doesn't appear on some accounts. Either way, don't upgrade just for this: invite us as a delegate (below) or reply to your welcome email, and we'll set up a hosted chat page for you free. That's our job, not yours.

The chat doesn't float in the bottom corner like it does on other websites.

That's GoDaddy, not you. GoDaddy seals custom code inside a sandboxed box, so the chat lives in the section you placed instead of floating over every page. If you want the classic corner bubble site-wide, tell us — we'll host it for you and wire it to your site.

Nothing shows up in the editor or in Preview.

Normal. GoDaddy often runs custom code only on the published site. Click Publish, then check in a private (incognito) window.

The chat appears but gets cut off when it opens.

The section box is too short. Go back into the section, raise Forced Height to 600–700, and Publish again.

It works on one page but not my other pages.

GoDaddy applies custom code one page at a time — there's no site-wide option. Repeat steps 2–4 on each page you want chat on; Home plus Contact covers most visitors. Or invite us in and we'll handle it.

Two minutes in and over it?

$499 one-time: a human contacts you within 4 hours and does the whole setup — this install, the phone forwarding, the testing.
